Obituary

After battling ovarian cancer with strength and courage, Jacqueline Kay "Jackie" (Slotty) Boettcher, age 65, passed away at home on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, with her partner, Randy Brockmann, at her side. Jackie was born in Prairie du Sac on February 12, 1960, to Roman and Irma "Inky" (Schoenfeld) Slotty. She graduated from Sauk Prairie High School in 1978. She worked as a letter carrier for USPS for more than 33 years.

Jackie grew up on her family's farm near Denzer where she helped her mother in the garden, flower beds and working on the farm. She continued that hobby, having many beautiful flower gardens at her home. Jackie and Randy shared a deep love for adventure. To escape the winter, they frequently traveled to warmer climates, soaking up the sun and exploring together often for a month at a time. They could also be found almost daily working out at Wellspring and chatting it up with friends there. All who had the pleasure of knowing Jackie knew she was kind and caring.

She is survived by her partner, Randy Brockmann; her mother, Irma Slotty; brothers Mike (Lisa) Slotty, Matt (Linda) Slotty; 4 nieces, Marrah, Kayla, Jenna and Emma; Jameson Brockmann, Levi Brockmann, her aunt, Ruth Evert, uncles, Ralph (Helen) Slotty and Ernie (Sandy) Bruckert, and other relatives and many friends.

Jackie was preceded in death by her father, Roman Slotty; grandparents Paul and Laura Slotty, William and Gertrude Bruckert, stepson, Seth Brockmann, in-laws, Harris and Cleo Brockmann.

Special thanks to Dr. Zhang and the staff at UW Carbone Cancer Center, her former coworkers, family and friends for the support during the last 18 months.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the UW Health Carbone Cancer Center, the Sauk County Humane Society in Baraboo, or Agrace.

A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City.
