James F. Ind, age 75, of Prairie du Sac, passed away on Oct 31, 2024, at Ingelside Nursing Home, Mount Horeb.  He was born on August 24, 1949, the son of the late Ralph and Laura (Schoephoester) Ind.

Jim graduated from Sauk Prairie High School and continued further education at UW-Madison, earning a degree in Animal Science.  After graduation from UW-Madison, Jim returned to the family farm to help his Uncle Floyd Schoephoester on the farm.  This was the beginning of his lifelong career of farming.  Jim would often travel to Milwaukee to go swing dancing, as dancing brought him great joy.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, November 25, 2024, at the Prairie du Sac Cemetery.
