James J. Klamer, age 72, passed away on December 16, 2018 at St. Clare Hospice House, Baraboo. He was born in Des Plaines, IL the son of the late Jacob and Edith (Herchenbach) Klamer.  James was a U.S. veteran having served in the Army during Vietnam. He was united in marriage to Janet Frank on June 30, 1975. James was a self employed general contractor in the public safety industry for many years. He enjoyed his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren. His hobbies included watching NASCAR, fishing, spending time in his yard and living on Lake Wisconsin.

He is survived by his wife, Janet;
3 children, Reed Hadley, Robin (Peter) Christianson, Chad (Heather) Klamer;
6 grandchildren, Rikki and Jake (Purple) Flint, Andrew and Hailey Christianson, George and Roy Klamer;
1 great grandchild, Dio Flint;
his siblings, Kathryn Hennek, Donald Klamer.

A visitation will be held from 10 am until 12 noon on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Hooverson Funeral Home,Sauk City, WI. Burial will follow in the Garden Bluff Cemetery, Lodi.
