James "Jim" Paul Hogan, age 55, passed away at home on Sunday, July 4, 2010, his favorite holiday. He was born in Arena on Jan 25, 1955 to the late John C. and Veronica (McCarargher) Hogan. Jim graduated in 1973 from River Valley High School. Shortly after, he enlisted in the U.S Army. Jim was a Diesel Mechanic for many years. He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson Motorcycle, fishing, and spending time with family and friends at the farm.
He is survived by 2 children, Nick and Kaila Hogan, both of Madison; his soulmate Diane Killen; her daughter Kim (Nick) Viney, and their children, Alicia, Hailey and Brianna; his siblings, Marilyn Danielson of LaGrange Park, IL, Tom (Maggie) Hogan of LaFarge, Hugh Hogan of Arena, Maureen Frame of Mazomanie, Lucille (Jim) Spinoso of Huntsville, AL, William (Julie Ann) Hogan of Black Earth, and Michael(Joanie) Hogan of Barneveld; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, William Danielson, a sister in-law Margaret Hogan, a niece Teresa Frame, and a step-son Josh Killen.
As per Jim's, wishes a celebration of his life will be held at the family farm on Saturday, July 10, 2010 beginning at 4:00 p.m., with a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. and fireworks at dusk.
