IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James K.
Stewart
June 14, 2023
James Kenneth Stewart, 77 of Prairie du Sac. Wisconsin left this earth to move on to his next adventure on June 14th, 2023. James, fondly known as Jimmie, Jim, and Stewy, was born to Ken and Wilma Stewart, on September 26th, 1945. He was a talented athlete, a comedic interlude for all, an avid traveler, and a professional fun finder. He loved golf, fishing, hunting, exploring new places, being outdoors and spending time with family and friends. Jim started his career path early and joined the Navy reserves in 1966 when he started his training as an electrician. He was deployed and served in Vietnam from 1966-1967, and he continued serving time in the reserves until 1971. He was an active member of the VFW post 7694 where he served in the honor guard.
Jim continued his work as an electrician with the State of Wisconsin until retirement in 2001. Aside from his love of sports, games, the outdoors and spending time with family and friends, Jim was a kind soul. He was always there to help anyone in need and never had a bad word to say about anyone. He was a happy, witty man who saw the good in people and always found a funny thing to say to make you smile. Jim positively impacted our family and anyone he crossed paths with. He was a believer in the simple things in life and would always say, "no news is good news".
Jim is survived by his sisters, Kay (Al), and Barb, his children, Melissa (Christopher) and Joe (Tara) along with his step children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and so many friends.
Please join us for a celebration of life at the VFW in Prairie du Sac on June 24th from 12:00-3:00pm where a short honoring will be held at 12:00pm with the celebration of life to follow. Let's all have a few laughs and drinks in honor of a man who will be truly missed.
We would like to extend our gratitude to the following: VFW Post 7694, ADRC of Baraboo, the volunteers for meals on wheels, and the excellent staff at Bright Star and Agrace Hospice. In lieu of gifts, flowers, or memorandums please consider a donation to any of these organizations.
