James E. Tenley, 80, of Prairie du Sac, passed away on January 12, 2015. He was born on February 20, 1934 in Wabeno, WI, to Lilborn and Grace Tenley. James married Diane Peters on June 8, 1957 in Fond du Lac. James was a 1951 graduate of Waupun High School. Following graduation, he attended barbering school and also served in the U.S. Navy. After returning from military service, James worked as a barber in Waupun, Beaver Dam, Fond du Lac, and Oshkosh. He also worked for Badger Lumber Company and Morgan Doors in Oshkosh.


James is survived by his wife of 57 years, Diane; daughter Karen (Robert) Goerlinger of Marinette and their children, Megan and Karl; son Thomas (Angela) Tenley of Middleton and their children, Samantha, Seth, and Ethan; and son-in-law Thomas Nelson of Centerville, MN, and his children, Joshua and Lucas. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kris Nelson.

A private family memorial gathering is planned.
