Jane M. (Skinner) Rossbach of Mazomanie passed away Saturday, Aug. 9, 2026, at Greenway Manor, Spring Green. She was born in Dodgeville, WI on May 28, 1941, to the late John Milton and Marguerite (Stevens) Skinner.
Jane worked at the Peoples State Bank in Mazomanie for nearly 30 years. She married Otto Rossbach of Monona, Iowa in 1972 and they had their only child, David, in 1977. Jane was an active member of numerous community organizations and especially her beloved church, the United Church of Christ in Mazo. She was an avid sports fan, particularly Brewers baseball and high school and Badger basketball, a reader, a puzzle solver, and a collector of things. She relished any excuse to be with her friends, be it Red Hat Society, Wednesday Breakfast Club, Homemakers, Church Circle, the reason didn’t matter, count Jane in.
Jane is survived by her son, David, her brother, Paul (Karen) Skinner and sister-in-law, Lois Skinner. Jane is also survived by scores of nieces and nephews, whose families and lives she loved watching grow and flourish, and a host of cherished friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Rossbach, her brothers, John, Thomas, David, Keith and William "Willie," and her sister, Kathryn “Kate.”
A memorial service for Jane will be held Saturday, October 24, 2026, at the United Church of Christ in Mazomanie with Pastor Brad Brookins officiating. Visitation will occur from 10:30 - 11:00 am with the service following from 11:00 - 11:45 am. Interment in the Mazomanie Cemetery will be privately held at a later date.
