Jane Rosalia Schallock, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at the Fair Haven Nursing Home in Whitewater. Jane was born in the Town of Sumpter on October 22, 1925 to the late Edward and Maude (Waffenschmidt) Mockler. She graduated from Prairie du Sac High School in 1943. Following High School she attended Madison Business College. Jane married Alton Schallock on April 24, 1954. She worked for many years as a Stenographer for the State of Minnesota and Wisconsin. Jane enjoyed the outdoors, cooking, baking, spending time with family and friends, and loved to dance. She was a kind person who always looked out for others. Jane will be missed very much.
She is survived by her husband Alton; son Robert Schallock; and a niece Beverly Waller.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Dean Mockler; nephew Jim Mockler; and a niece Pat Madigan.

A funeral service will be held at the HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, 251 Water St., Sauk City at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Prairie du Sac Cemetery.
