Janice F. Marklein, age 64, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital. She was born in Madison on December 21, 1944, the daughter of the late Gordon and Jeanette (Reuter) LaBelle. She was united in marriage to Lloyd Marklein on July 1, 1967 at St. Norbert's Church, Roxbury. Janice was employed at Consumers CoOp for 13 years and later at Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital for 23 years. She enjoyed family gatherings and loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed traveling and time on the computer. She is survived by her husband Lloyd of Sauk City; six sisters, Sally (Don) Ringelstetter of Prairie du Sac, Karen (Norman) Esser of Cross Plains, Sara Schmitz of Prairie du Sac, Sheila Disrud of Prairie du Sac, Joan Schneider of Sauk City and Janeen LaBelle of Sauk City; a brother, Darrelle (Vicky) LaBelle of Portage; five sisters-in-law, Sharon LaBelle of San Jose, Ca., Shirley (Jim) Kieffer of Baraboo, Alice Lybek of Dane, Judy (Ron) Lamberty of Delafield, and Phyllis (Rick) Pauls of Richland Center; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends, and two dogs, Blacky and P.J. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Leon LaBelle; and a brother, Donald Marklein. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. ALOYSIUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, Sauk City at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2009 Fr. John Blewett officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2009.
