Obituary

Janice Kindschi Schultz passed away on May 10 2011 at her home in Rancho Mirage, CA. She was surrounded by her husband of 71 years, Leslie Page Schultz, her three children, Les, James, and Kristine (Rand Hutchinson). Her three grandchildren were Amanda, Dylan, and Cory. By her side was also her faithful companion, Tiger. Janice was a loving and peaceful soul that touched the lives of everyone she knew. Janice was born in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin, the daughter of Glen and Emma Kindschi. She was raised on their farm which was the last one before the Badger Ordinance. She grew up and met her husband Leslie, son of Leslie Edward and Alma Schultz. They attended High School together and both attended University of Wisconsin. They were married in 1940 and made their home along the Wisconsin River. After moves to Arcadia California, and McLean Virginia, retirement brought them to Rancho Mirage California. Janice enjoyed the beautiful desert weather, golfing and gardening, and both enjoyed traveling which took them throughout the world. They were members of both The Springs Country Club, and Thunderbird Country Club and were active in many local charities. She loved being here and being so close to all her children. Her kindness and loving spirit, her sense of humor and her devotion to both her husband and her faith will be greatly missed. Janice had been taken care of in her last years by her faithful caregivers Yvonne, Melissa, Emma, Leah, and Roger. All who knew Janice came to love her and were touched by her generosity. She will make the long journey back to her beloved home of Prairie du Sac where she will be laid to rest next to her parents and her sister, Bernice. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 10, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Sauk Prairie Cemetery. A gathering will follow at the Lake Wisconsin Country Club. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to a charity of your choice.
