Jason R. Bolar, 40, of Sauk City, WI, shortly after receiving the kidney transplant he had been waiting years for, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 10, 2018 in the comfort of his own home.

Jason was born on September 15, 1977 in Sauk City, WI to Gary Bolar and Cindy (Shaffer) Frye. He spent most of his early years living in and around the Sauk Prairie Area. Jason was passionate about many things in life. He enjoyed spending time with many of his friends; whether it be out on the golf course, shooting pool, hunting, fishing, or just relaxing on the lake.  Jason attended Fox Valley Technical College where his culinary arts skills grew exponentially. He spent many summer nights grilling a great meal for all of his friends and family to enjoy.  Jason moved to Florida about 10 years ago to be with his mother and explore some of the many opportunities that would come his way. He continued to do many of the things he loved; including developing a passion for the ocean where he spent most of his free time out on the open water, taking in the endless view.

Jason is survived by his parents, Gary Bolar and Cindy (Shaffer) Frye; his brother, Brandon Bolar, and many relatives and friends.

A Celebration of His Life will be held at Riviera Bowl, 51 Polk Street, Sauk City, WI on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
