Jean A. Bauer, age 94, passed away June 2, 2022. She was born on February 2, 1928 in Marshfield, WI the daughter of Armand and Audrey (Vanden Brook) Bauer. She graduated from Sauk City High School in 1946. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1950. Jean was employed as a registered Pharmacist in Rockford, IL and later in Waukesha and Milwaukee counties, Wisconsin for 43 years, retiring to her home town of Sauk City in 1993. She then dedicated her efforts to charitable work serving on the board of St. Vincent de Paul, Sauk City and as a volunteer at the Sauk Prairie Hospital. Jean was involved with a small group of seniors and became a regular participant in birthday and holiday celebrations, special events, Friday fish fries, and impromptu get togethers. She gradually became our beloved Aunt Jean, always ready with a kind word, a bit of advice, or a warm thank you.

In our hearts, Jean became a part of each of our families. We will all miss her dearly.

She is survived by her brother, David John "Jack" Bauer, sister, Judith Carol Holtz.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, James M. "Buck" Bauer and Thomas J. Bauer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on June 24, 2022 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Sauk City, WI.
