Jeanette "Nettie" Bergman, age 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Sauk Prairie Health Care, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on May 20, 1933 in Ainsworth, Iowa, the daughter of the late Earl and Wanda (Murphy) Wood. She was united in marriage to Donald Bergman on June 27, 1953. Nettie enjoyed fishing, word puzzles, dining out and spending time with her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Debbie (Don) Hosig and Jeni (Dan) Kippley; a son, Jim (Elise); 8 grandchildren, Lindsay (Damon) Lewerenz, Aaron, Chad and Matt Kippley; Josh (fiance Cammie), Jake, Rachel and Kyle Bergman; 2 great-grandsons, Gabriel and Isaac; 3 sisters, Jane (Bob) Johnson, Nancy White and Mary Putman; 3 brothers, Jim (Cathy) Wood, Tim (Maria) Wood and Mike (Barb) Wood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Don; a brother, Frank; and 2 sisters, Jean Hall and Joan Sueppel.
A funeral will be held at ST. JOHN'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, Prairie du Sac, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 13, 2015 with Pastor Fred Rilling officiating. Burial will follow in the Sauk City Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
