Jeanette Irene Breunig passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024.  She was born in Cross Plains on March 20, 1934 to John and Rosina Statz. Jeanette and Raymond Breunig were united in marriage on June 16, 1955 and made their home in Sauk City.  Jeanette was an amazing homemaker!  She baked, cooked, canned fruits and vegetables and enjoyed decorating for all holidays.  Grandma "Jet" always had a meal on hand if you stopped by to visit.  Her grandchildren all have a favorite cookie or meal that they would ask for and she would oblige.  She was a friend to many, lending a hand to whomever needed it.  She was a talented seamstress and crafter.  She enjoyed playing cards, baking and spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Raymond Breunig, her children Randy (Stephanie Dega), Karen (Jim) Schroeder, Brian (Kris Wrobel), Sandy (Joe) Glotfelty; her grandchildren Jeremy Breunig, Jordan (Nicole) Breunig, Jennalee Breunig, Jianna (Aaron) Stelzl, Thomas Glotfelty and Sarah Glotfelty; and her great grandchildren Bradley, Ava and Hannah Breunig; Harlan Johnson; Hadlee and Emersyn Stelzl; and Jett Breunig.  She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rosina Statz, her brothers Sylvester, Raphael, Edward and David "Muxy" Statz and her sister Catherine Wright.

There will be a private funeral for the immediate family.  There will be a celebration of Jeanette's life on June 23, 2024 from 1 - 5:00 pm at Junge Park in Sauk City.
