Jeanette Alva Williams, age 87, died on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie. She was born in Milwaukee on November 12, 1924, the daughter of the late Edwin and Olivia (Neumann) Pittelkow. She was united in marriage to Marven Bergemann on November 26, 1945. He preceded her in death. She then married Joseph P. Williams, Jr. of Racine on April 19, 1978. He also preceded her in death.
Jeanette retired as bookkeeper from Samuel Lepp and Company in Racine and relocated to Benton, Kentucky with her husband, Joseph, in 1989. Jeanette (Jerri) was an avid golfer and champion multi-talented crafter. She belonged to several organizations in Kentucky, such as Marshall County Homemakers and Olive Homemakers. After the death of her husband in 2007, Jeanette relocated to Sauk City and settled at the Madison Street School Apartments. She was admitted to Maplewood of Sauk Prairie in July of 2011.
She is survived by four children, Lynn of Wild Rose, Allen (Allison) of Greenfield, Alanna (Robert) of Prairie du Sac, and Carol of Greendale; five grandchildren, Tracy of Minneapolis, Jason of Greenfield, Dennis of Wild Rose, Amie (Paul) of Watertown, and Curtis of Houston, TX; and two great-grandchildren.
Per her wishes, no services will be held. Memorials should be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Foundation.
