Joe H. Drucks

Joseph “Joe” Howard Drucks, 51, passed away from mesothelioma lung cancer, “boooo”, on June 17, 2026. While nobody was ready to say goodbye, Joe left on his own terms, at home in Florida, with his wife by his side, he was needy like that.

Raised in and around Packwaukee, WI. Joe spent his life causing trouble, tinkering, collecting “treasures” and making people laugh. Joe left a lasting impression on everyone he met, especially at The Village Pub in Sauk City where he finally came out of his shell. If he wasn’t around someone was sure to ask, “where the f@c! is Joe”?

Joe enjoyed many things, but mostly his wife Lorrie; obsessed much? They met on Halloween, and had a Halloween wedding, and would have celebrated 20 years together in just a few short months; dammit Joey! Together they loved to ebike, ride motorcycles, camp and their new favorite thing, looking for shark teeth and treasures at the beach.

Joe was wicked funny, but serious when it counted. He was the first to help and your biggest cheerleader, although he may tease you from the sidelines. Joe was known for his Joe-isms; he was a legendary germaphobe, convinced he had germs outsmarted with blue rubber gloves. He was known to use a magnet or a hundred even passing them along to friends. Styrofoam was his enemy. You may have even seen him wearing a headlamp or talking to his plants and flowers. He was a master at finding ways to do things easier. Joe was a diesel mechanic by trade, currently working for Sarasota County fixing fire trucks and ambulances. Mostly enjoying the banter with the guys and the test rides, like the adult child he was.

Joe leaves behind his beloved wife, Lorrie Drucks; their daughter, Sommer (Jeran) Drucks; his half-sister Annie Bowman; his in-laws, Edie Kaufman and Slug (Cindi) Schultz; Bobbi (Matt) Alt; Christi (George) Bryant; countless family, friends and Herbert the Crane who will miss his daily feedings of blueberries.

Joe was preceded in death by most of his whole darn family; parents, Bill and Barbara; his sister Dawn; nephew Justin; and his half-brother Shawne.

Joe’s Life will be Celebrated at the The Shop Bar & Grill E9708 State Highway 60, Sauk City on Aug. 15th (his birthday) from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm. We hope heaven has plenty of rubber gloves Joey!
