John Scott Ernst, age 62, of Sauk City passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home on Monday, June 12, 2023 after a valiant battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy.  He was born at St. Anthony Hospital in Milwaukee on Oct. 27, 1960 to John J. and Patricia A. (Hausner) Ernst.  He grew up in Milwaukee and graduated from South Division High School; class of 1979.  He was united in marriage to Melonie Frahm on June 15, 1991 at the Red Mill Chapel in the Woods in Waupaca.  They enjoyed the outdoors together, walking and hiking and family events.  John was a "Trekkie"; he enjoyed Star Trek and Sci-Fi movies, and loved to play video games.  He worked for Milwaukee Valve for 38 years until his health wouldn't allow him to any longer.  John was a member of Living Hope Church, Baraboo.

John is survived by the love of his life, Melonie; his children, John Jr., Charissa (Mitch) Yurkovich and their 4 children, Parker, Kamdyn, Teagon, and Eloise; his mother, Patricia; siblings, Terry Blaszyk, Robert (Dana) Ernst, and Sue Lien.  He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, John J. Ernst.

A memorial service for John will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Living Hope Church, S3963 Highway BD, Baraboo.  A visitation will be held from 9:30 am until the time of service.
