John Luchtenburg, age 90, passed away July 26, 2017 at his home. He was born in Riverside, IL on October 18, 1926, the son of the late Jacob and Annie (Hummel) Luchtenburg. He was united in marriage to Beverly Smith on August 31, 1957. John was a U. S. Veteran having served in the Navy. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, loved to fish and travel.


He is survived by his wife, Beverly; a daughter, Sandy (Bruce) Richmond; 2 granddaughters, Jada and Halle; one sister, Cathy Driggers and a nephew, Robert Driggers.


In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward.


A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, August 4, 2017 at Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City, WI. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m.until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.

Burial, with military honors, will be in the Garden Bluff Cemetery.
