John A. Waldinger J.r., age 70, died on Monday, June 22, 2009 at Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital. He was born in Baraboo, August 25, 1938, the son of the late John and Arlene (Jacoby) Waldinger. He was united in marriage to Betty Hefty on April 28, 1984. John lived and farmed his entire life in the Honey Creek area and was proud to be a Renk Seed Corn Dealer for over 40 years, and a Sauk Prairie FFA Alumni Member. He loved Polka music, dancing to Polka Bands and especially bands with Tubas. John enjoyed playing Euchre, Sheepshead, hunting, lots of sweets, going barefoot in the summer, and all of his Minneapolis Moline Tractors.
He is survived by his wife, Betty and 4 children, John III, Karla, Tracy, and Joseph.
An aunt Frieda Waldinger, cousins Margaret Waldinger, Henrietta Volker, John Malas, Jeff Jacoby, Jean Fay, Kristine Rittenhouse, LaVon Schroeder and their families, other relatives and many friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Uncles Anton Waldinger and Arlan Jacoby, Aunt Shirley Jacoby and cousins Anton Waldinger, Anna Malas, and Butch Hintz and other relatives in Germany.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 26 at 11am at HOOVERSON FUNERALHOME in Sauk City, with Pastor Becky Henke officiating. Burial will follow on the Denzer Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 until 8 pm on Thursday, June 25 at the funeral home.
