Joseph Richard Haremza, age 56, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Sunday, September 15, 2013. He was born in Chicago, IL on October 18, 1956 to the late Chester J. and Marie V. (Hudek) Haremza. Joe was a former firefighter in Cicero, IL for 13 years before moving to Merrimac, where he worked at Prairie Plumbing and Heating for the last 17 years. He enjoyed Friday night bonfires, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. Joe enjoyed helping people, he had a big heart. Now, he shares a big heart with god.

He is survived by his son Brent, Baraboo; best friend and girlfriend, Diane Steele; 2 brothers, Kenneth Haremza, Tulsa Ok; Albert (Gail) Haremza, East Lynn, Tx; a sister, Audrianne (Michael) Stromski, Stickney, Ill; nieces , nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A celebration of Joe's life will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, 251 Water St., Sauk City on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 4:00 pm. A visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until the time of service. Following the service a gathering will be held at 5:30pm at the Merrimac Conservation Club.
