Josephine T. Rafferty, age 91, died on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie. She was born in Madison on May 11, 1916, the daughter of the late Joseph and Theakla (Moy) Frisch. She was united in marriage to Lawrence L. Rafferty on January 31, 1941. Josephine was a former volunteer at St. Mary's Care Center in Madison and a former member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Prior to residing at Maplewood, Josephine was a resident at Pines Assisted Living in Prairie du Sac where she enjoyed the many games, entertainment, crafts and painting. She made many beautiful crafts and paintings and gave them to her family. She enjoyed being with her family and did spend a lot of time with them. She is survived by a son, Richard (Sharrie) Rafferty of Mazomanie; a daughter, JoAnn (friend Mike McLyman) Anglemyer of Madison; 4 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence; 4 brothers; a sister; a granddaughter and a grandson. A funeral service will be held at RESURRECTION CEMETERY CHAPEL, Madison, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2008. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. The family would like to thank the staff at Pines Assisted Living for making her stay there so enjoyable.
