IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Judith "Judy"
Ann Weinke
July 27, 1944 – November 17, 2023
Judith Ann Weinke, age 79, passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison on Friday, November 17, 2023. She was born in Baraboo on July 27, 1944 to Earl Gaylord and Priscilla Mae (Ott) Loether. She was a graduate of Prairie du Sac High School - Class of 1962. Judy was united in marriage to Robert John Weinke on August 1, 1964 at St. John's Lutheran in Prairie du Sac; he preceded her in death on January 8, 2002. She first worked waitressing at Lange's Café in Sauk City until she was hired by the State of Wisconsin where she worked in downtown Madison. She later returned to work in her hometown at Gene Olson Ford as a secretary for the dealership and later worked as a pharmacy technician and insurance specialist for the Medicine Shoppe/Eannelli's Pharmacy. Judy and her husband both raced stock cars in the Wisconsin Dells for many weekends in their younger years. She loved her bowling league, playing cards, cheering on the Green Bay Packers, and looked forward to family events. She took pride in her country and enjoyed working the polls for many years in Rock County.
Judy's pride and joy was her family. She is survived by her son Jeffery Robert (Sandra) Weinke, daughter Rebecca Mae (Neal) Boys, and foster daughter Heather Corrine (Jason) Miller. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Joshua Ivan Wartzok (Jeffery), Christina Colby Weinke (Jeffery), Ella Priscilla Judith [Jerod] Meyer (Jeffery), Robert Jeffery Dean Weinke (Jeffery), Brianna Judith [Dane] Fronek (Rebecca), Naleah Janet Boys (Rebecca), and Hannah Jean Miller (Heather), and five great-grandchildren: Ian, PJ, and Lyla (Joshua), Jaxson and Finley (Ella). She is further survived by her brothers Ron (Marie) Loether and Kenneth Loether, as well as many relatives and friends.
As per Judy's wishes, a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, Judy's family asks that people remember her generous and giving spirit by spreading kindness, love, and hope into our world.
Judy's family would like to thank the wonderful caring staff members at Sauk Prairie Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital for their excellent and comforting care provided to her.
"To My Children...
Be not sorrowful that I am gone,
And my earthly life is done.
Be not sad I passed away,
For in you my children, I live each day.
There is a little of me in all of you.
In each new one I live anew.
So you see, I'll never be really gone,
As long as there are children to carry on.
I've had my share of love, sorrow and strife.
I have lived a full and fruitful life.
So do not mourn, and do not weep,
For I have earned this peaceful sleep."
All my love, Mom & Nana
