Kaye A. Ring, age 73, of Mazomanie passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home on Saturday, July 27, 2024.  She was born in Rockford, Ill on June 25, 1951 to the late Harold and Gladys (Wyatt) Youngman.  She attended high school in Rockford and then graduated from Stoughton High School in 1969.  She started her career working for Ohio Medical Group, and shortly thereafter she met and married Steve Ring on Oct. 14, 1978 at St. Barnabas Church, Mazomanie.  Kaye and Steve raised their children in Mazomanie, and Kaye later went on to work for HMO Wisconsin, Unity and eventually Quartz Insurance Co. in Sauk City where she retired.  She liked going to the movies, reading, looked forward to family events and always had a love of animals and her pets.  At a young age she enjoyed time spent at her parents' home, water skiing on Lake Kegonsa and trips to the family cabin in Hayward.  She enjoyed travel with Steve, taking a cruise, a family trip to Colorado and visits to Florida to see her sister.

Kaye is survived by her husband, Steve; children, Stephanie Schlough; Stephanie (Chad) Obright, Christopher (Brenda) Ring, Travis (Jennifer) Ring; 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.  She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Gloria, Norman, Joanna, Harold Jr., Midge and Julie; and a son in-law, Jason Schlough.

Kaye's family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to the family, friends and neighbors for their visits, prayers and help and to Agrace Hospice for their care.

Kaye's family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Kaye's name to the Dane County Humane Society for her love of animals.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, Aug. 4th from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Hooverson Funeral Home, Hwy 14 West, Mazomanie and also Monday, Aug. 5th from 10:00 am until 10:45 am at the funeral home before a Mass of Christian Burial that will be held at 11:00 am at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 410 Cramer St., Mazomanie.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
