The kind, gentle, loving soul of Ken A. Kruchten, age 56, of Arena passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Agrace Hospice in Madison surrounded by his family and friends following a 4 month battle with cancer. He was born March 18, 1957 to James and Eleanor (Maier) Kruchten. He graduated from Waunakee High School. Following high school, Ken worked at Westside Cabinets, Sub Zero, and most recently as a bartender in Arena and Sauk City. Ken enjoyed the Packers, Badgers, and playing cribbage with his parents.

He is survived by his parents, James and Eleanor Kruchten; brothers, Jerome "Auggie" (Diane) Kruchten, Merrimac, Marv (Rhonda) Kruchten, Arena; sisters, Marge (Bob) Coates, Waunakee, Jean (Cary Schultz) Kluge, Madison, and Shirley (Salvador Ferrer) Guitzkow, Poynette; a special friend Louise "Weezy" Snider; and his two cats Lucas and Emily. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Ken's family would like to thank Ken's numerous friends, the staff and customers of the Antique Tap, and the staff at Agrace Hospice for their love and support during his illness.

As per Ken's wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at Antique Tap on Saturday, September 28, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Humane Society in honor of Ken and his love of animals.
