Kenneth P. Slattery, born in 1938 to Peter and Gladys, died May 29, 2017. Ken attended St. James, Central and Edgewood Schools. Ken worked at the Motor Vehicle Department and later at MG&E for 27 years as a boiler operator and was retired the past 20 years. Ken married Jacqueline Houghton in 1955. They had six children.
In 1982 Ken married Joanne (Kaul) Tourdot.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne: a sister, Katherine Briggs; his children, Debra Ann (James) Matinas, Kathleen McIntyre, Kevin Slattery , Richard (Lori) Slattery, William Slattery, Janet (Isaac) Beasley; Grandchildren, Danielle, Lindsey, Michael, Stuart, Jennifer, Amber, Kirsten, Angelique, Walter, Brian, Breanna and Natasha; Great grandchildren, Trevon, Corrina, Danny Ray, Spencer, Austin, Mason, Davonte, Katlyn, Alazay, Nilza, Jalia, Shiloh, Haven, Tyree, Kiana, Tyree, Elias, Ania, Isaiah, Raelynn and Jeremiah; a great great granddaughter, Amaria. Ken was very proud of being a great great Granddad. Ken was greatly supported by friend Dolly.
Further survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Patricia and a brother, James; grandchildren, Isaac III, Brandon and his fiancee, Amy Damon ; in laws, Francis and Helen Kaul; brothers in law, Francis Kaul and Ronald Machovec; nephews, Jake Timmons, Wyatt Kaul and Jordan McKittrick.
Ken will be really missed by his dog, Sugar, who saved his life four times.
Ken had traveled into all 50 states and the Canadian Provinces. He enjoyed going to his grandchildren's and great grandchildren's activities and sports events. He especially enjoyed Irish dancing and traveling with his granddaughters Amber and Kirsten, to these events.
A visitation will be held on June 3, 2017 at Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City at 9:30 am with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at St. Norbert's, Roxbury at 11:00 am.
