Obituary

Kerment H. Dittberner, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Sauk Prairie Health Care Center. He was born in Madison, Nebraska on March 25, 1935 to the late William and Pearl (Hurdin) Dittberner. Kerment graduated from Sauk City High School, class of 1954. On June 25, 1988 he married Elaine L. Slotty, she preceded him in death on February 9, 2013. Kerment worked in the Physical Plant at University of Wisconsin for 39 years, retiring in 1998. He was proud to have served in the United States Army. Kerment enjoyed horseshoes, fishing and hunting, playing euchre and sheepshead, watching his grandson race, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children, Shiela (Carl Wright) Steensland of Verona, Sandra (John) Wallenkamp of Blue Mounds, Sharon (Freddie) Amador of Mazomanie, James Dittberner of Baraboo, Donald (Ann) Slotty and Tammy Cooper, both of Sauk City; a sister, Billie Ann Egstad of Florida; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, Elaine; he was preceded by the mother of his children, Alice (Hankel) on January 8, 1970; two sons, Steven and Scott Dittberner; and a sister Carroll Dittberner.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 17, 2015 at Hooverson Funeral Home, Hwy 14 West, Mazomanie. A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm, and one hour prior to the service on Monday.

Kerment's family would like to thank the staff at the Sauk Prairie Hospital and all of Kerment's neighbors at the Rio Valley Estates for their support.
