Kevin “Bro” James Bruckert, friend of all and an unforgettable presence in the lives of everyone he knew, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Saturday morning, July 11, 2026; he was 62. He was born in Barron, WI June 23, 1964 to the late Robert and Shirley (Taylor) Bruckert. Kevin graduated from Sauk Prairie High School in 1984.
Whether you just met or were long time friends, he had a unique quality of making everyone feel valued, welcome, and included. He had a humor, warmth and easy-going spirit that left a lasting impression wherever he went. Known for his unforgettable long hair and long beard and known to greet friends with, “By jiggers”. He loved the freedom of riding his motorcycle, the joy of dancing, mowing his lawn, wandering barefoot and the simple pleasure of sharing a drink with friends. If you ever received a hug from Kevin, you will remember that hug forever.
His greatest joys and adventures were shared with his wife, Leah. They were united in marriage, at home on Oct. 20, 2012. Together their travels to Moab and Salt Lake City held a special place in his heart, filled with exploration, love and time spent in a place they treasured, those memories will last forever. Kevin was a hard worker; working at Universal Die and Stampings where he made many lifelong friendships through his work. Kevin lived his life with loyalty, a love of life and of his family and friends; he will be remembered for his infectious smile and laughter, and the ability to bring others together.
He will be missed by his wife, Leah; children, Shane (Sara) Bruckert, Mandie (Matt) Habada; his cherished grandchildren, Ella, Aida, Maverick, Bianka, Isable, Talia, Savannah and Amber; siblings, Jeff (Jill), Lisa, Tim (Karen), Sue (Gerard).
