Kyle Ertmer, 24, died August 17 th with his family by his side. Kyle's first love was racing ATVs. His last day was spent doing what he loved. Kyle was a 2016 graduate of Sauk Prairie High School, played soccer on various teams and was both a Pool Shark and high school swimmer. Beside racing, he enjoyed boating, snowmobiling and spending time with his girlfriend, labrador retriever, friends and family. He was employed at Saint-Gobain in Portage Wisconsin designing automation. His position allowed him to show his true talents and skills as a professional.
Kyle is survived by his younger sister Sarah, girlfriend Shanna Brisky, dog Nova, parents Jean Peters and Don Ertmer, aunts Rosemary (Tom) Basten and Jill Dagel, uncles Jim Ertmer and John Peters and grandparents Rose Ertmer, Jim (Barb Smith) Peters, and Jan Pierce and multiple cousins. He is preceded in death by grandfathers Delbert Ertmer and Don Pierce and uncle Brad Dagel.
He was much too young to leave us and a kind soul always willing to help. He will be missed every day by many. The world was a better place with him in it.
Though Kyle loved to buy flowers every week for Shanna, please consider a monetary donation. The family will send all proceeds to the 88 Live to Ride Foundation whose mission is to advocate and support the protection, education, and safety of riders involved in ATV racing events.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 25 th at Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City, Wisconsin. The family would appreciate any pictures you may like to leave and will have memory cards available to write a story about Kyle and your time with him.
