Obituary

Lana Morvice, age 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 10th in Lodi, WI. She fought a long, tough battle with multiple myeloma. Her strength and positive outlook amazed many people throughout her illness. She helped others find joy even when she was hurting.  Lana was a bright light in everything she did.

She was born and raised in Rockford, IL.  Lana met her husband Bob and they created a wonderful life in Rockford while raising their children.  They fulfilled their dreams moving full time to Lake Wisconsin in 1995.  She loved to entertain and having company to enjoy the lake with her!

She will be remembered for her huge heart, and by many for her love for children. She had a home daycare in IL for 12 years and owned a childcare center & preschool in Sauk City for 16 years. She impacted so many young lives. She took great pride in the trust that families placed in her to care for their children.

Lana cherished her home, decorating it beautifully for every season.  She loved cooking and hosting gatherings for everyone she loved. She put 110% into each event she planned. She gave the most thoughtful gifts, had the ability to make everyone feel special, and truly loved.  She brought joy to everyone she met. Lana gave the best, sincere compliments.

She and Bob were blessed with nearly 50 years together.  They enjoyed traveling, always up for an adventure and to see a new place. She was proud to have visited all but 5 of the states.  They also enjoyed their favorite restaurants and going to the movies weekly for many years.  Over the last few years, she enjoyed organizing outings with their friends, especially a local Friday night fish fry.  Lana brought happiness every place she went.

Lana was "Nina" to her grandchildren and so many others. She would never miss a school or sporting event, aways there supporting them and so very proud.  They were truly blessed to have a grandmother who prioritized them in everything she did.

Lana will be missed tremendously by her loving husband Bob, daughter Amy (Scott Schulze) Jorgenson, son Bob (Julie) Morvice, grandchildren Joshua Sparrow, Elijah and Ava Jorgenson, Bengt, Anna, Aden, and Edward Morvice, and Marcus Schulze, along with so many special family members. Including Ivan and Lewis Wallace, Jeff Fletcher, Becky and Kenna Johnson.

She is predeceased by her son Joshua B. Sparrow, mother Gloria Wallace, brother Larry Johnson, nephew Eric Johnson, stepdaughter Michelle Morvice and infant sister Lisa Wallace.

Bob and family extend their sincerest gratitude to Dr. Brunner and all the wonderful people at UW Carbone Cancer Center for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made in Lana's name to Carbone Cancer Center Myeloma Research Greatest Need Fund at https://wwwtest.cancer.wisc.edu/ways-to-give/giving
