Leo Jeselski, age 82, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 3, 2017 during ambulance transport to UW Hospital in Madison, WI. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 6, 1935. Leo was employed at Westvaco Corp in Chicago as a Supervisor for over 25 years and was fortunate enough to retire at the age of 55 and then moved permanently with his wife to Harmony Grove on Lake Wisconsin in Lodi, WI.
Throughout the years, Leo enjoyed traveling with his loving wife Carol of 60 years to different places throughout the United States. Leo was an avid Chicago Bears Fan (but complaining when they lost, which seemed to be a lot lately), he was also an avid Blackhawk and Sox fan. He enjoyed fishing off his dock in the backyard (caught more fish on his dock then on the boat), also teaching his children and grandchildren how to fish when they were younger (and supervising still when they were older). He was very proud of both of his children and loved watching his son play hockey and daughter ride horses, when they was younger. Leo also enjoyed golfing, boating, casinos, listening to bands on the weekends at the local bars on Lake Wisconsin, trips to Laughlin, NV, and yearly fishing trips to Chetek, WI with his close friend Bob and brother-in-law George Naxera. He loved just hanging out with friends and family on the weekends.
He will be missed and always remembered by many. Survivors include his wife Carol Rose (Naxera), daughter Cindy (Ron) Goss of Lodi, son Leo Jeselski (Kris) of Berwyn, IL Also his brother Anthony (Maria) Jessels in Texas. Leo's grandchildren include, April and Mark Goss (Lodi), David Jeselski (Oak Park, IL), Sarah and Alex Conoboy (Berwyn, IL) along with his many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Anthony Jessels and Frances (Pietryzk), his newborn twin babies David and Karen Jeselski, and his step-sister Isabelle Charlotte Voegele (Pietryzk).
A celebration of Leo's life will be held in Chicago in early Spring.
