Leon John Nolden, age 84, passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2010, at Maplewood Nursing Home in Sauk City. He was born Feb. 14, 1926, to the late John and Clara (Henn) Nolden. Leon served in the Army during the Korean War, and was a member of the Lachmund-Cramer VFW Post. He farmed for many years with his brother Oliver, and worked at Taylor Feedmill until his retirement. Leon is survived by two sisters-in-law, Mabel Nolden and Jeanette Nolden; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Armella Riek; and two brothers, James and Oliver. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2010, at 6 p.m. at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until time of service. A private burial service will be held at the Sauk City Cemetery.
