Leonard Darel Spencer, age 63, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at his home. He was born in Richland County on November 24, 1949, the son of the late Arch and Helen (Pliner) Spencer. He was united in marriage to Carol Tanner on November 17, 1979. Leonard enjoyed fishing, campfires and time spent with family.


He is survived by his wife, Carol; three children, Anzy (Nick) Maerz, Travis Spencer and Tyler (Amanda) Spencer; seven grandchildren, Adam, Austin, Mason, Taitym, Drew, Brittney and Ashley; a brother, Larry Spencer; and a sister, Geneva Spencer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Archie Spencer.


A memorial service will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, 702 Emily Rd., Mazomanie, at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2013 with Pastor Kendall Schlittler officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:30 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Richland County.
