Lester "Buddy" Hicks, age 84, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Sept 30, 2014. He was born in Sauk City on Jan 23, 1930 to the late Lester and Isabel (Thurner) Hicks Sr. Bud married Joan Keitel on September 26, 1953. He was proud to have been a past member of the Sauk City Volunteer Fire Dept.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; 5 children, Cynthia (Daniel) Hayes, Alan (Donna) Hicks, Anita (Larry) Luck, Angela (Paul) Wipperfurth, Aaron (Mary) Hicks; 13 grandchildren, Rebecca, Pamela, Patrick, Johnathan, Sara, Anthony, Cathy Jo, Randy, Amanda, Ryan, Trisha, Daron and Michael; 8 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Catherine and Carolyn; a grandson Jason; and a sister Helen Hart.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, October 3, 2014 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Sauk City. In honor of Bud's wishes no visitation will be held. Burial with Military rites will be held in the St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Bud's name to the charity of your choice.
