Obituary
Merrimac- Lester C. Gaffney age 74 passed away May 17th 2017 at University of Wisconsin hospital surrounded by family. He was born on July 3rd 1942 in Illinois, the son of the late Lester and Katherine (Crick) Gaffney.
He was united in marriage on August 8th 2009 to Kathie Cole after 28 years together. He was a self employed tile setter and enjoyed football, hockey and baseball; especially the Chicago Bears and Chicago White Sox.
He is survived by wife Kathie, sister Marilee, children Gina (Mark) Slager, Sherri (Mike) McCollum, Danny Nutting, Beth Simmons, Tina Benda, Dana (Sean) Thompson; grandchildren Ben, Fiona, Henry, Kaylee (Cable), Niko (Ali), Brooke, Mac, Kelsey, Stephen, Elise (Erik), Kyle, Skylar, Jason, Nikki (Steve), Alyssa (Matthew), Mallory, and 13 great grandchildren.
He is preceded by parents Lester and Katherine, brothers James and Daniel Gaffney, and granddaughter Danielle.
Celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 19th 4pm-? at CG's Pub and Grub in Merrimac. Come have an Old Style in loving memory of Les Gaffney.
