Lila M. Laufenberg, age 85, passed away at Maplewood Nursing Home, Sauk City on May 20, 2021.  She was born May 24, 1934 to the late Adrian and Verna Julson.  Lila attended and graduated from Spring Green High School.  She was united in marriage to James Laufenberg in 1951; he preceded her in death in 1982.  Lila and Jim made their home in Sauk Prairie while Jim worked at the Sauk City Creamery, Lila raised her family.  She later worked in the kitchen for Sauk Prairie Schools for over 10 years.

She is survived by her children, Daniel and David Laufenberg; three grandchildren, Steve, Lynn and Matthew Laufenberg; daughter in-law, Karen Laufenberg; siblings, Donna (Lester) Nachreiner and Doug (Deb) Gorder.  Lila is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Dennis and a stepfather, Peter Gorder.

As per Lila's wishes a private family service will be held.  Burial will follow in the Prairie du Sac Cemetery.
