Lina Catherine Marini, age 88, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2014. She was born on January 17, 1926 in Ableman, WI (now Rock Springs) to Salvatore and Bilitama Marini. She graduated 10th grade from Ableman and 12th grade from Baraboo High School in 1943. She then graduated from Groves Barnhart Secretarial School in Madison. Lina worked at the Prairie Clinic for 29 years. Her loves were God, family and friends.



She is survived by a son, Mark Whitt of Sauk City; three daughters, Pam (Charlie) Wilhelm of Prairie du Sac, Maria George of North Freedom and Carla Alt-Jones (Don) of Lone Rock; ten grandchildren, Jason (Jodyne) Whitt, Jeremy (Kelly) Whitt, Josh (Becky) Whitt, Chad (Heather) Wilhelm, Chris (Kathryn Reif) Wilhelm, Heather George, Dillon Alt, Cody (Julie) Alt and Wyatt Alt; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Emma (Mac) Mclin of Tyler, TX; many other relatives and friends.


She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Marty Whitt; 6 brothers, Fred, Bill, Frank, Gildo, Sisto and Tony; and 3 sisters, Pia, Frances and Elvira.


A Memorial Service will be held at ST. JOHN'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, Prairie du Sac, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 22, 2014 with Pastor Fred Rilling officiating. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.
