Lorin W. Zick, age 85, with his mission here on earth complete, joined his heavenly father on May 14, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital. Lorin was a veteran of WWII serving with the 15th. Air Force in Italy where he flew 50 combat missions as a bomadier on the B-17. He was born September 1, 1922, the son of the late Gustav and Alice (Steuber) Zick. He was married to Lillian Feigl on September 16, 1947.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lil; a son, John (fiancee Debra Perosio) of Elmira, NY; 2 daughters, Joann (Carl) Sirotzki of Prairie du Sac and Judy (Tony) Caronna of Brookfield; 6 grandchildren, John, Maggie and Andy Zick; Scott and Nick Caronna; and Matt Sirotzki; great-granddaughter, Evie Zick-Dean; and a step-brother, Dale A. (Betty) Page.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Vernice Aldrich Zick; daughter-in-law, Sara Zick; and step-brother, Warren R. Page.
A memorial service will be held at ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, Prairie du Sac, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2008 with Pastor Fred Rilling officiating. Friends may call at the church, one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. John's Lutheran Church, Sauk Prairie Food Pantry or the Good Neighbor Clinic.
