Obituary

Lorraine Ramaker passed away peaceably on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie. She was born to Thomas and Lillian Richards in Florence, Wisconsin on November 27, 1920. She was united in marriage to Harold Ramaker on October 31, 1942. They lived most of their married life near Neenah, Wisconsin before moving to the Sauk Prairie area after retiring. Lorraine was a devoted mother and grandmother who had a deep faith and love for God. She enjoyed fishing and quilting and will be remembered for her meek and quiet spirit.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; five brothers; and one grandson, Jason. She is survived by her three children, Terry (Sandy), Jim (Linda), of Prairie du Sac, and Lynn (Harold) Vogelzang of Monticello, IL; her four sisters, June of New York, Patricia (Allen) Phiefer of Neenah, Marian Hansen and Clovis Capadali of Iron River, MI; one sister-in-law, Gladys Hanson of Naperville, IL. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.


A funeral service will be held at the SAUK PRAIRIE COMMUNITY CENTER, 730 Monroe St., Sauk City, at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2015. A visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Sauk Prairie Cemetery.

The family would like to express special thanks to Maplewood of Sauk Prairie for the loving care provided to Lorraine and Harold and to Dr. Shultz, who was their physician.
