Louella M. Cork, age 100, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie. She was born in Sauk City on September 19, 1913, the daughter of the late Wilfred and Mary (Lienenkugel) Cork. She was a graduate of Sauk City High School. Louella was employed at the Sauk City Canning factory for over 37 years. She enjoyed quilting and playing the piano. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, the Royal Neighbors of America and the Sauk City Homemakers Club.
She is survived by many 2nd and 3rd cousins; other relatives; and a special friend, Elaine Breunig. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two close friends, August Derleth and Hugo Schwenker.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. ALOYSIUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, Sauk City, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 14, 2014. Burial will be in the Mazomanie Cemetery. Friends may call at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Monday.
