Lucille M. Kirch, age 86, died Sunday, February 6, 2011 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie. She was born November 21, 1924 in Arena, the daughter of the late Patrick and Regina (Demby) Power. She married Leland Kirch on April 4, 1951 and he preceded her in death on December 11, 1995. Lucille was a lifetime member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, loved to listen to polka music, and watch the Milwaukee Brewers and Mazo Home Talent Baseball. She also enjoyed going out to eat, especially the Bridge Restaurant.
Survivors include three children, Marlene (Dale) Hauge of Mazomanie,
Jerry (Nina) Kirch of Madison and
Donald Kirch of Mazomanie; her siblings, Frances Marti, Arlene Sheldon, Esther Handel, Leonard (Myrtle) Power, Raphael Power and Theresa (Pat McKune) Russell; four grandchildren, Troy (Janelle) Hauge, Scott Hauge, Charity (Brad) Kirch and Ashley (Jake) Kirch; two great-grandchildren, Destiny and Darien; and she was happy to have another due in April; a special nephew, James "Mort" (Sue) Power; and special great nephew and niece, Matt and Megan Power; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister Regina, and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 10 at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, Mazomanie with Fr. Faustino Ruiz officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hooverson Funeral Home.
