Lucille M. Morgan, age 90, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2011. She was born on September 12, 1921 in Herron, WI, the daughter of the late William B. (Bud) and Vera (Hurlburt) McElmurry. Lucille graduated from Stanley High School in 1939, after which she attended River Falls State Teachers College. She finished a three year teaching program and then taught school in both Necedah and Clintonville. She was married to Lieutenant Paul K. Morgan on February 19, 1944. Paul was stationed at White Sulfur Springs, West Virginia, where they lived throughout his stay in the service. While in West Virginia she worked as a "Gray Lady" at the hospital where she helped on the wards with games and recreation for the wounded soldiers. Lucille is a member of the Eastern Star and Concordia United Methodist Church. She worked with the Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts for many years.
She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Sue Schlichtig of Fitchburg; three sons, Rick (Nancy) Morgan of Madison, Ron (Pam) Morgan of Azle, TX and Mickey (Kim) Morgan of Prairie du Sac; eleven grandchildren, J.P. (Amie) and Mark (Amber) Schlichtig, Ryan (Elizabeth), Miranda, Katie, Alan, Aaron (Heather), Sean, Erin, Kevin and Cory Morgan; six great-grandchildren, Tyler, Chloe, Dakota, Kaycee, Morgan and Madison.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Paul Morgan; her sister, Eileen Clauson; and sister-in-law, Lorraine Cretney.
A memorial service will be held at CONCORDIA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Prairie du Sac, at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2011 with Pastor Jeff Virchow officiating.
