Lucille I. Plants, age 90, died July 31 , 2010 at Middleton Village Nursing Home.
She was born in Honey Creek, to George and Sena (Buelow) Goerks. Lucille was united in marriage to Leonard Plants on Sept. 12, 1948. He preceded her in death on July 7, 2001. She was employed by Oscar Mayer for over 50 years.
Lucille loved people, she enjoyed playing cards, dancing, country music and trips to Ho-Chunk. Lucille was a great cook and was always known to be a sharp dresser.

She was loved and will be missed by her sister, Phyllis Goerks, sister-in-law, Lorraine Goerks. Nieces and nephews, Willis Koenig, Donelda Kuhnau, Gloria Pierce, Duvonne Cummings, Stormy Diske, Donna Bailey, Diane Ruhland, Linda Prater, Reggie Westphal, Roxi Miese, Georgia Reetz, Chester Goerks, Clay Goerks, Greg Porter, Cheryl Cody, and many great-nieces and nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her siblings;Sylvia Dunse, Mildred Diske, Floyd Goerks, George Goerks, Aletha Porter.

A funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 6, 2010, at Denzer United Methodist Church in Denzer. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at the church on Friday.
