Mabel J. Ganser, age 87, died on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie. She was born in Mazomanie township on April 8, 1921, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Johannah (Schumann) Shower. She was united in marriage to Victor E. Ganser on March 26, 1940. He preceded her in death on December 24, 1994. She is survived by four children, Kathleen Nicholson of Janesville, Robert (Gloria Rannfeldt) of Morrison, IL, William (June) of Waunakee and Russell of Merrimac; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters. A memorial service will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2009 with Pastor Fred Rilling officiating. Interment will be in the Mazomanie Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home on Thursday.
