Magdalen M. Uselman, age 98, died on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie. She was born in Roxbury on October 30, 1913, the daughter of the late Carl and Magdalen (Ballweg) Frey. She was united in marriage to Norbert Uselman on September 22, 1936. Magdalen and Norbert farmed in the Roxbury area for many years. Magdalen enjoyed playing cards.
She is survived by three children, Carol (Ralph) Laufenberg of Waunakee, Bernard (Sharon) of Sauk City, and David (Kathy) of Sauk City; a son-in-law, Fritz Adler of Windsor; daughter-in-law, Vicki (Randy) Breunig of Sauk City; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Connie (Wayne) Meyer of Sauk City and Millie (Jim) Theisen of Baraboo; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert; a son, Steve; a daughter, Ruth Ann Adler; and a granddaughter, JoLynn Adler.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. ALOYSIUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, Sauk City, at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2012. Burial will be in St. Norbert Cemetery, Roxbury. A visitation will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 1, 2012.
