Marcella Frances Arnold, age 81, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. She was born in Dodgeville on June 15, 1930, the daughter of the late Maynard and Maude (LaBounty) Culver. She married Elmer Arnold on June 29, 1950. Marcella enjoyed spending time with family, sitting around the campfire, playing cards, cheering on the Brewers, Badgers and Packers and finding a good deal at a garage sale.


She is survived by five children, Dale of North Freedom, Debbie (Gregg) Huckabone of Montello, Ronnie of Montello, Kim Gates of Montello and Jeff of Madison; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and a brother, Jim (Pat) Culver.


In addition to her parents and husband, Elmer, she was preceded in death by a son Danny; a daughter-in-law, Sarah Arnold; and siblings, Bernice, Pat and Earl.


A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 22, 2011 at 11:00am at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Hwy 14 West, Mazomanie. Friends may call from 9:00am until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Arena Cemetery.
