Marcella M. Breunig, age 83, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. She was born on November 28, 1925, the daughter of the late Leo and Eva (Schwartz) Lins. She was united in marriage to Edgar P. Breunig on August 23, 1949. The couple farmed for 59 years in Roxbury. Marcella was a member of St. Norbert's Catholic Church, the Council of Catholic Women, and the Catholic Knights. She is survived by her husband Edgar, of Roxbury; two sons, Charles (Kay) of Waunakee, and their children, Dr. Adam Breunig and Lauren (Drew) Davison; and Francis of Roxbury; a brother, L. Joseph Lins of Stoughton; three sisters, Marie Hunt of Spring Green, Dorothy Breunig of Prairie du Sac, and Eleanor (William) Johanning of Madison; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters, Clarence, Sylvester, George and Cletus Lins; and Grace Lins, Sister Mary Frederica Lins, Lauretta Lins and Mary Lins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. NORBERT'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, Roxbury, at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2008 with Fr. Miguel Galvez officiating. Burial will be in St. Norbert's Cemetery. Friends may call at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 12, 2008 and also at the funeral home on Saturday morning after 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Norbert's Catholic Church or a charity of your choice, would be appreciated.
