IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marcia L.
Burzynski
July 16, 1947 – January 11, 2026
Marcia L. (Bader) Burzynski age 78, passed away on January 11, 2026, at St Mary's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin due to medical complications after a brief illness.
Marcia was born on July 16, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Adolph and Margaret (Stoecker) Bader. In 1952 her family moved to Grand Marsh, Wisconsin, where they purchased a farm and began a life rooted in hard work and close community ties.
She attended grade school in Grand Marsh and later graduated from Adams-Friendship High School in 1965. Shortly after graduation Marcia married Bruce Burzynski, and the couple made their home in Sauk City, Wisconsin.
Marcia devoted much of her working life to the hospitality and service industry, where she became a familiar and beloved face to many. She worked for many years at the Penguin Restaurant in Sauk City and later the Eagle Inn Restaurant in Prairie Du Sac for her mother-in-law and close friend Darlene Burzynski. Through the years she enjoyed working alongside her close family members and formed many cherished lifelong friendships.
Later, Marcia worked as the head cook at St. Al's School and part time as a bartender at Sauk Lanes Bowling Alley. Over more than 25 years of service at those places she became well known for her strong work ethic, her dry sense of humor and genuine care for everyone she served. Students, patrons, and customers alike adored her, and many considered her "the best there ever was."
Marcia retired during Covid, closing a long chapter of service marked by dedication and kindness.
Outside of work, Marcia loved bowling, shooting pool, participating in NASCAR league and was always up for a good game of cards. She could often be found in her favorite chair at the Antique Bar enjoying a laugh with the customers and bartenders alike.
Marcia is survived by her son, David and daughter, Diane (beloved granddaughters, Charlie and Alex). A brother, Thomas "Tommy" (Jane), special sister-in-law, Patty and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as a brother Randy.
A celebration of Marcia's life will be held from 4pm until 7pm on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at the Antique Tap, 817 Water Street, Sauk City, WI 53583
Marcia will be remembered for her quick wit, generous heart, and the way she made people feel welcomed wherever she went. Her presence left a lasting mark on her family, friends, and the community she called home.
She will be deeply missed.
