Margaret Flood, age 77, died on Monday, February 14, 2011 at UW Hospital in Madison. She was born on December 3, 1933 on the farm homesteaded by her great-grandfather, Friederick Matz in 1852, the daughter of the late Raymond and Lelah (Bram) Matz. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Marxville, and lived in the Town of Berry all her life. She was married to William Flood on April 1, 1969. William died on March 30, 1982. Margaret worked doing house-cleaning.


She is survived by a niece, Amy (Jerry) Herrling; 2 nephews, Gary (Kellie) and Michael Matz; and
a great-nephew, Preston Herrling.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Matz.


A memorial service will be held at ST. PAUL LUTHERAN CHURCH, Marxville, at 11:00 a.m. on Sat., February 19, 2011 with Pastor Beth Schultz Byrnes officiating.
