Margaret F. Roder, age 96, died Friday July 18, 2008 at Greenway Manor in Spring Green. She was born on August 6, 1911 in Madison, WI,
the daughter of the late Carl and Helen (Puestow) Vitense. She was united in marriage to Henry Roder on September 4, 1943. He preceded her in death in September 1970. Margaret was a lifelong member of St. James Lutheran Church. She is survived by two children, Karen (Donald) Zick of North Freedom and Keith (Sharon) Roder of Waukesha; six grandchildren, Roland (Cori) Zick, Roxanne (Dan) Small, Robert (Beth Ann) Zick, Randall Zick, Craig and Melissa Roder; a granddaughter-in-law, Cindy Scheel; nine great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Marion Vitense of Milwaukee; a nephew, Alan (Joan) Vitense of West Allis; two great-nephews, Carl and Christopher Vitense; other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Peter Scheel; two sisters, Lorraine Liebetrau and Edna Vitense; and two brothers, Edgar and Carl Vitense. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday July 21, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City, WI with Pastor Bradley Pearson officiating. Burial will be in the First Lutheran Cemetery in Middleton. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
