Margot Magdalene Laura Nedeau, age 85, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Maplewood Nursing Home in Sauk City. She was born on September 20, 1925 in Germany to the late Konrad and Laura (Geitz) Merkl. Margot married Ralph Nedeau on July 3, 1948, he preceded her in death on August 8, 1991. After 30 years in the U. S. Army, Ralph and Margot retired to Colorado Spring, CO. In 2002, Margot moved to the Sauk Prairie Area to live with her daughter, Laura and her family. Margot enjoyed knitting, traveling, and spending time with family. She was a member at St. John's Lutheran in Prairie du Sac.

She is survived by her daughter, Laura and her son in-law Ashley Nedeau-Owen, of rural Sauk Prairie.

5 grand-children; Elias, Abigail, Martha, Samuel, and Amos.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 2 sons; Ralph Jr. and Royal.

A committal service will be held at a later date in Colorado Springs, CO. Memorials may be given in Margot's name to the International Crane Foundation, 11376 Shady Ln., Baraboo, WI 53913.
